What's your personal highlight since you've started working here?
'After starting my career in Reception I was identified as having the ability to train and develop staff, therefore within a year I was promoted to Head Telephonist. I have found this role both rewarding and challenging."
What piece of advice would you offer to anyone joining the company?
'BuildStore is a fast-growing company, which is developing more and more each day. You have to work hard to satisfy the needs of our clients, to ensure that excellent customer service is provided at all times. What is your personal highlight since you started working here?
'Managing the build programme at Swindon, the only place in the country where you can get all the information you need as a self builder. Four principle contractors, ten significant subcontractors. Incredibly detailed series of exhibits, all as technically correct as we can make them, and bringing in some 'theatre' as well - challenging, but awesome!“
What piece of advice would you offer to anyone joining the Company?
"Be honest with your colleagues & clients, get your head down & just work your heart out. The rewards & personal satisfaction will come."
Why should they join Buildstore?
"What other company apart from Buildstore really offers the complete package to self builders? If it's an industry you are interested in then there is a future for you here. Five years ago there were about twenty employees working out of a very small office in Livingston it was hard work & great fun. Now there are around a hundred & twenty employees & it feels like the company has grown up. With what we are all working towards now; in another five years... who knows, but for those who put the effort in, we will all be part of something very special"

Working at BuildStore is challenging but ultimately rewarding. We expect a really high level of commitment and effort from our staff, however in return we aim to ensure that every person is fairly rewarded.
