BuildStore is the market leader in the self-build and renovation market - a market which is worth at least £2.5 billion annually. We help our clients find land, finance their project through specialist mortgage and insurance products, and help them to source and purchase their materials. We currently employ around 160 staff between The National Self Build and Renovation Centre near Swindon and our Head office near Edinburgh.

Swindon Based
The National Self-Build and Renovation Centre is the only place in the UK where people can visit all year round if they are interested or actively involved in building or renovating their own home. We are currently looking for the following staff to in the team:
Weekend Staff
A variety of weekend positions are available from Receptionist to Customer Services to Trainee Mortgage Advisor. You will be able to work Saturday and/or Sundays on a permanent or casual basis. All roles will involve contact with the general public and an interest in Self-Build and Renovation will be advantageous.
Mortgage Advisors
Packages to £20-40k
You will have at least 1 years previous experience within financial services (ideally mortgages) and have your CeMAP qualification. For the trainee roles you won’t necessarily have sales experience as we have developed an in-house training academy, but you will need to be driven, focused and eager to learn. Those with previous FS sales experience may join as a fully qualified advisor but will be offered comprehensive Self-Build and Renovation training.

Broker Desk Consultant -
£16-19k (dependant upon experience) Uncapped bonus
To act as the first point of contact for mortgage intermediaries who have self build, renovation and home improvement enquiries. These are likely to be for current clients rather than general questions. Time will be spent answering inbound calls, and some outbound calls should be made chasing previous enquiries and promoting the BuildLoan products. The role’s purpose is to proactively sell the concept and benefits of using BuildLoan and advise on self build requirements and processes
With a background in Financial Services and CeMap qualified (or willing to obtain this qualification quickly), the individual should have a genuine interest in self build and a willingness to educate the broker, pitching this at the correct level and recognising the need to build long term relationships, also enjoys working to targets and ‘getting the business in’.
