Is re-development or renovation the ultimate sustainable design? Jon will talk about the particular challenges of undertaking a “green” renovation and conversion, highlighting the practicalities and pitfalls and how they influence your designs.
He will discuss how ‘green’ ideas impacted on design decisions and planning issues and how important it is to make early choices on what to include and not to include. Jon will use a number of larger housing projects including INTEGER schemes at Cherhill and Swindon to look at a variety of green installations and how creative design can achieve added environmental benefits without costing the earth.
