'Glanhafren Chapel', Llanidloes, Powys, Wales
Commissioned by clients in 2002 to turn a redundant chapel on the banks of the upper River Severn into a home, Nicholas Salt ‘lifts the lid’ on this eco chapel conversion, showing how through the use of reclaimed materials, the inclusion of eco-friendly products in the build process and by using a local builder who was passionate about ‘green’ building, he has managed to achieve “a warm and comfortable home, full of open space and natural light, which fits in well with the hamlet on the young river.”
