Jon Llewellyn, Maya Studio Architects, Chippenham, Wiltshire
With extensive experience designing and managing green and eco housing projects, Jon’s background is a diverse mix of public and private sector architectural practices, all of which have focussed on sustainable design and the use of new technologies in housing. In his role managing the architectural division of Westlea Housing Association, Jon was instrumental in gaining Westlea a reputation for innovative and exciting ‘eco’ projects. Jon and his team were involved in the national INTEGER initiative, looking at combining green architecture with new intelligent building technology, and were part of the team that built the first homes under this initiative at Cherhill in Wiltshire. Jon is a ‘self builder’, so understands the particular challenges and excitement of taking on your own project.
