Dick Strawbridge MBE is an energetic and versatile TV Presenter with a zest for green living. A retired Lieutenant Colonel and man of many interests, Dick is known for many BBC TV series, including ‘Scrapheap', 'Crafty Tricks of War' and ‘Geronimo’ and, more recently, for his popular BBC series ‘It’s Not Easy Being Green ’ which traces the Strawbridge family’s journey as they aim to live a 21st century lifestyle, whilst producing little or no waste and removing reliance upon fossil fuels.

As presenter of BBC’s ‘No Waste Like Home’ and a popular commentator on TV and Radio, Penney has helped raise awareness of the environmental issues facing us now and in the future.

Penney presents her own Eco Kitchen, which has featured in several leading homes and interiors magazines, and gives us her ‘Top Tips’ on how to cut down on energy use in existing kitchens and how to incorporate ‘Green Ideas’ when planning a new kitchen or remodelling an existing one.

Tommy Walsh
Tommy Walsh, Celebrity Builder, Hard Landscaper, TV Presenter and Resident Celebrity Guest Speaker at the Centre, brings his skills, tips and techniques to the Centre through demonstrations and seminars, drawing on his own self build and renovation experience. Tommy has recently filmed a new TV series about his own self build, Tommy's Eco House, and knows the trials and tribulations as well as the fulfilment and joy of a self builder first hand.

Tommy Walsh, the nation’s favourite builder, presents us with his first ever self build project – a bespoke, contemporary two-bedroom Eco House in March, Cambridgeshire - which was the subject of Discovery Real Time’s recent television series ‘Tommy’s Eco House.’
