Having shot to fame on BBC’s Changing Rooms some years ago, Oliver Heath has since been seen on a variety of TV design shows including BBC’s Home Front, Channel 4’s From House to Home and the Discovery Channel’s Dream Homes. At the same time, Oliver has become recognised as an expert on the benefits of sustainable living and eco design, having acted as media spokesperson for both WRAP and the Energy Saving Trust. At the National Self Build & Renovation Show Oliver will be sharing his ideas on home design, looking specifically at how homeowners can bring in more natural daylight and consider how to make more of the thermal gains that clever window design can bring. For renovators and self builders alike, the Walking Seminars are an extremely useful introduction to the subject.With 2 separate tours to join – each repeated morning and afternoon – there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved! Sam Kirby’s tour of the Renovation House covers the common problems which renovators face and the measures available to overcome them. Meanwhile Mike Hardwick and Dave Hilton, who follow the Self Build Education Journey, cover foundations, groundworks, building systems and services. Each Walking Seminar promises to be different as the experts are led by the group’s questions and specific interests. |
