Building Relationships weekend - 27th & 28th March 2010

Through the course of a home building project, whether it be a renovation, conversion or self build, you'll form relationships with a huge variety of people from local government officials through to plumbers. To keep your project moving fluidly it's vital that you manage all these relationships well. The Building Relationships event will explain all the people that will be involved in your building project, how to work with them for best effect and how to keep them on side. but if the worst comes to the worst, how to end the relationship professionally and with as little damage as possible to your project.

At the event, you'll find a combination of expert-led seminars, free one-to-one meetings with specialists, as well as case study seminars so you can see how other people have managed sometimes-problematic relationships with both tradesmen and professionals.

Paul and Ruth Charles lost their home 20 years ago and have since been living in a mobile home alongside their nursery in the Devon countryside. In 2008, they decided it was time to build a house, and opted to use German timber-framed package builder, Hanse Haus.
