Eco Home Workshops
Bob Harris, Eco builder and developer and former FMB Master Builder of the Year for Energy Efficiency, is launching a series of Eco workshops at the National Self Build & Renovation Centre in Swindon.
Developed for self builders and renovators the workshops are designed to assist those who are concerned about making the right eco choices for their project. They will teach the techniques for creating a healthy sustainable home that is both energy efficient and environmentally friendly, covering everything from finding the perfect eco plot and designing a sustainable site layout, to heat recovery, water conservation and ventilation.

Each workshop will be a lively mix of discussion, interaction and networking, making full use of the Centre’s exhibits and features, such as the self build education journey and Trade Village.

About Bob
Bob is an eco builder and developer who built London’s first flats to have their hot water and heating delivered from ground and air source heat pumps. The flats are designed to be allergy free and have electrically shielded wiring systems. He recently completed a refurbishment with a zero carbon heating system and at present is working on an eco refurbishment the will run on economy seven electricity 24/7.
He writes on eco healthy building for ‘Organic Life Magazine’. He has won a number of awards for his developments including the Federation of Master Builders ' FMB Master Builder of the Year for Energy Efficiency'. Bob leads evening classes in 'Eco Building and Refurbishment' at Kingston University for developers, self builders and landlords interested in learning how to create healthy ecological buildings that are profitable to the developer, sustainable for the planet and healthy for the tenants.
Bob is an inspirational speaker with wide experience of building making his workshops enjoyable and informative. In collaboration with '50 Degrees North Architects' he is working on a range of profitable and innovative eco developments around London.
