2007''s home improvement budget is £3,774

The UK''s average budget for home improvements throughout 2007 is £3,774 according to a new report.
Almost a third of Britons also vowed they would not go over a budget of £2,000 on home improvements this year.
Research compiled by property portal propertyfinder.com says that there is also a battle of the sexes when it comes to budgeting for DIY, as 30 per cent of men are prepared to spend over £1,000 while only 21 per cent of women would spend an equal sum.
And married couples tend to spend less on January home makeovers than those who live alone, according to the study.
Warren Bright, who runs propertyfinder.com, said: "Although very many people plan to change how their homes look in 2007, very few plan to change who they live with.
"Moving in with a partner, expecting children to fly the nest, or taking ageing parents in all feature very low on people''s list of priorities for 2007."
