Add automation to your home

If you have finished building or renovating your dream home then a new type of tradesman may now be able to help you adorn it with the latest in home entertainment technology.
An industry qualification has just been drawn up by the Computer Technology Industry Association, which recognises the expertise of tradesmen in home technologies, digital media and other automation techniques.
Dr Barry Henley, who will teach the new qualification, said: "There''s been a market for home automation and a separate market on digital media.
"But there is a set of skills that bridge across the two things."
Well automated homes are able to include facilities such as having heating turned on by remote if it gets old quickly or having the lights turn on at specific intervals to warn off thieves.
This kind of technology is no longer the domain of the rich and the routing of it has now got cheaper and easier to install.
