Allsopp bears brunt of pro-Hips backlash

Kirstie Allsopp has come under fire from one Home information pack (Hip) industry group for "masquerading as a people's champion".
Hip Payment Services has said that Ms Allsopp, presenter of the television showProperty Ladder, is simply a vehicle for a Conservative party campaign to abolish the packs.
As a response to what it calls misinformation, Hip Payment Services has said that it is to hold a public debate on the subject next year in an effort to improve transparency.
"Throughout her entire involvement in the Hips debate, Kirstie Allsopp has failed to disclose the fact that she is a Tory politician, and therefore has merely been an opposition spokesperson from day one," said the firm's chief executive Jeff Smith.
"The time has come for the industry to challenge this cynical and frankly absurd opposition campaign.
"The home buying and selling public have been constantly mislead and misinformed by the Conservative party and their spokespeople, and it is time the industry got together to have it out," Mr Smith asserted.
Hips will be rolled for one and two bedroom properties on December 14th.
