Bristol could be 'the place to self build in 2009'

Plot search is one of the most important elements of a self build project and Bristol could be the place to be in 2009, it has been claimed.

The city, built around the River Avon, has been selected by DK Eyewitness Travel as one of the top ten hottest place to be next year.

Found in the south-west of England, Bristol rubs shoulder with cosmopolitan cities around the world on list - including Buenos Aires, Copenhagen, Vienna and Washington DC.

DK Eyewitness Travel said: "Dita Von Teese recently opened a new Harvey Nichols store alongside a Cinema de Lux and a wealth of luxury apartments at Cabot Circus - a long awaited boost to the Broadmead shopping district."

Bristol has recently been chosen the most sustainable city in the UK, which may extend its appeal to a self builder looking to create a green ecohome.

The travel firm says that "environmental sustainability" and "luxury consumerism" will meet in Bristol next year.
