Bristol named Britain's 'greenest city'

The city of Bristol has been selected as the most sustainable in Britain in the second annual Sustainable Cities Index.
Anyone considering a green self build could be at home if they pick to develop on a plot of land in the city of Bristol, thanks to its efforts in tackling environmental issues.
However, Peter Madden, chief executive of the Forum for the Future, says that the UK still lags behind international leaders in sustainability, such as Stockholm, Portland in the US and Brazil's Curitiba
Mr Madden claims he would like to see some "shining examples" of what makes a truly sustainable city in the UK to inspire other cities.
Bristol beat last year's winner Brighton to the top spot, ahead of Plymouth, Newcastle and Cardiff.
Meanwhile, Colliers CRE recently told the Waterfront Expo conference in Liverpool that the development of waterfronts is a "very important driver towards the sustainability of the planet".
