Brits rely on homes ''to provide for old age''

Brits rely on homes

Some 36 per cent of Brits are relying on their home as their main source of money after retirement, according to a new study.

Research by Rated Tradesman shows that more and more home owners in the UK are shunning the more traditional pension plan method for the cash cow of bricks and mortar.

Half of UK adults don''t even have a pension plan which shows just how reliant Brits are on their property to provide for them in old age and makes clear the case for maintaining your home with tip top building materials and first class trades people.

Andrew Skipworth, from the tradesman website, said: "More people than ever are investing their money in property so if you can find a good tradesman who can give sound home improvement advice, they can literally be worth their weight in gold."

Finding a good builder or plumber is imperative and it can be an extremely expensive mistake to rush things when you then have to shell out again on repairing the initial tradesperson''s botched job.
