Buildstore in reminder about Renovation A-Z weekend

Buildstore has issued a reminder that its Renovation A-Z event at the National Self Build and Renovation Centre in Swindon is on over the bank holiday weekend of May 24th and 25th.

The firm emphasised that those keen on improving their home by converting basements or kitchens, or adding an extension will be able to benefit from getting guidance and advice on hiring tradesmen and choosing materials, plus how to deal with tricky problems such as leaky roofs, bad wiring and rotting timber.

Chartered surveyor Ian Rock and self build expert Ian Snell will be among the experts present to help.

Managing director of the centre Tim Doherty said: "Whether its finding a renovation project, valuing and purchasing a property, securing finance, understanding building regulations, tackling problems such as damp or subsidence, restoring original features or finding materials and tools, the Renovation A - Z Weekend has it covered."

The event will be the second major renovation-related event on this month, with those living in Scotland having the Scottish Homebuilding and Renovating Show to look forward to this weekend.

It will be held at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre in Glasgow over this coming weekend of May 17th and 18th.
