Bungalows are happy homes, says survey

A new survey has revealed that people living in bungalows are happier than those in any other kind of dwelling.
The research by Countryside Properties found that the single-storey homes are lived in by people who mark themselves down at an average of 8.15 out of 10 on a happiness scale.
It quoted the example of 62-year-old Lyn Brenner, who moved from a flat in central London to a bungalow in the north of the capital, who said: "I absolutely love as it has high ceilings and is well laid out so it feels spacious."
Those who fancy some happy living in a spacious bungalow but are unable to find one in the right place and at the right price may opt to self build one.
Bungalows also appear better able to hold their value than other homes, with today's house price figures from the Department for Communities and Local Government indicating that they saw the lowest dip in price of any kind of dwelling at 0.6 per cent.
