Congestion charge veto will have 'little effect' on Manchester self build

Anyone planning a self build in Manchester will see little disruption to their plans after the city's residents voted against the congestion charge, it has been suggested.
Vicky McCarrick, manager at Dandara Lettings in Manchester, said the charge was always going to get rejected but when it comes to plot searching and buying a home, it is all about the location and its transport connections.
"It's location, location, location as they always say. Good transport links are always a good thing to have and maybe going forwards more emphasis will be put on that," she said.
PlotSearch is the UK's premier land and property finding resource for self builders, renovators and small-scale propertydevelopers who may be looking for land that is close to transport links.
Meanwhile, Homebuilding.co.uk has advised anyone undertaking a self build to sell their former property, rather than releasing the equity on it, should they want to finance the project with it.
