Docklands ''attractive to home seekers''

The Docklands area is ripe for development as the 2012 Olympics draw close and Canary Wharf becomes a second centre for business in London.

Bow, just two miles away from the wharf, is on the edge of the Olympics site in Lower Lea Valley and is becoming increasingly attractive to people wanting to buy a run down property and revamp it.

Its landmark, the 14th century St Mary''s Church, is a historical centre to the area and the surrounding waterways add a touch of village-like serenity to the place.

Landscaped open spaces have made a difference in opening up Bow and many professionals are now flocking to the area.

Transport is also good with three stations within walking distance and being just minutes from the City.

Bow also has a life of its own with flourishing markets, bars and restaurants plus leisure centres nearby in Mile End.
