Eco homes 'provide better quality of life'

Energy efficient technologies found in eco homes typically lead to a better quality of life for homeowners, it has been suggested.
Developer Ecos Homes has said that the presence of features such as efficient heating systems and maximum light penetration enable such homes to present a better standard of living than is otherwise available.
The health risks associated with a number of electrical products are also minimised in such homes, the firm has advised.
"People arent so aware of the health implications of electrical products within your home. They are just as important as organic food," commented Ecos Homes spokesperson Cara Naden.
"The general cost of running the house is greatly reduced because the house is so efficient with heating. The home is designed to get maximum light, so you reduce the use of artificial lighting. Generally its a better quality of life if you live in an eco home," Ms Naden added.
