Floral interiors coming back in 2007

Furniture, home accessories and furnishings store Laura Ashley has reported a revival in profits and growth due to the resurgence of kitsch fabrics for use in the home.
Both Laura Ashley and fellow floral fabric pioneer Cath Kidston are seeing good fortune as the UK rediscovers flowery, retro prints for use in decorating the home.
DIY enthusiastic Laura Ashley was founded in the 1950s when Laura and her husband Bernard began to make their own tablemats, napkins and headsquares out of pieces of cloth their had dyed and printed themselves at home.
Now 17 new stores have been opened in the last year alone and sales increased by over eight per cent during the festive season.
According to the Sheffield School of Interior Design, this year''s trend is to use earthy tones to create homely, comfortable looks.
Instead of ostentatious and flashy looks, people are opting for a down-to-earth, family-friendly aura.
