Home improvements make for happy Christmas

Families in Yeovil are to have a good Christmas this year after the council agreed to provide home improvements at the South Somerset Homes estate in Somerton.

Homes along Queens Road have been refurbished by tradesmen with the resulting quality, workmanship and customer satisfaction praised by residents.

Beryl and Maurice Willmott had their home updated and said: "We want to say a big thank you to the workmen for the marvellous work they have done. Nothing was too much trouble and they answered our queries with an infinite amount of patience."

All the Somerton homes had their ground floor external walls renewed and modern standards of insulation were also met. Central heating, bathrooms and kitchens also received work.

The tradesmen, who were from South Somerset Homes, Bluestone and the Curtins and Slade Parry Partnership, completed the work nine weeks ahead of schedule which has really pleased inhabitants.
