Invest in UK property, not abroad

Though Brits wanting to invest in property tend to look abroad, new research shows that the UK is actually a worthwhile place to scour because it is the second best place to invest.
Assetz, a research company, has found that in terms of buying costs, rental yields and capital growth, the UK really is one of the best places to invest in a buy-to-let property.
Poland pips it to the accolade of best with a 165 per cent return on cash investment but the UK is still far ahead of France, Bulgaria and Turkey with a 63 per cent return on cash investment.
The UK is also a low risk investment destination and you are able to avoid property management costs through self-management which is something you would have to allow for if investing abroad.
Assetz said: "This latest research suggests that many investors will be keeping their money closer to home in 2007, benefiting from continued strong and sustainable housing market growth in the UK."
