Manchester is building hotspot

Manchester looks to be a lucrative place to build a house, buy some land or purchase a home because lots of important developments have been announced as coming to the city very soon, according to one expert.
One estate agents firm called Pad International says that the Sports City area in particular is going to get very popular because a new super-casino is opening up there and a tram route will be a northern version of London''s underground.
Other areas in the UK where land is becoming available include a 1,200 acre area near Newcastle which has now been reclassified as non-greenbelt land because "exceptional circumstances were believed to warrant the building of a large business and housing estate".
In Yorkshire, swathes of greenbelt land may also be classified because the regional assembly wants to see 273,000 new homes built in order to rise with the increasing population.
Ryedale and the East Riding in Yorkshire will have homes built on its greenfield land while in West Cheshire the local authorities have reported that they may be a case for greenfield development.
