Now is a good time to 'move up the property ladder'

Potential buyers looking to climb up the property ladder should act right now, says David Amstell of Briffy.com.

According to Mr Amstell, anybody who is buying a house at this present moment in time is likely to pay far less than they would have done a few months ago.

As a result of this he feels that now is a "very good time" to move if you are considering upsizing.

"If you are selling a house for £200,000 or £300,000 and moving to a house that is £300,000 or £400,000, now is the time to do it.

Potential buyers will get a house for £450,000 that would have been worth £500,000 or more just a few months ago.

"So now is a very good time to move if you are moving up," he adds.

The same could be applied to those who are considering a self build as a means of upsizing, as plots of land can be picked up cheaper than they would have been a few months ago.
