Now is the time to fit insulation, says NIA

The National Insulation Association (NIA) has said that the present time is a very good one to fit insulation, because of rising fuel costs.
Speaking on the subject, NIA chief executive Neil Marshall said: "There has never been a better time than now to insulate your home. With fuel costs predicted to rise further, the financial benefits will be more evident than ever."
Mr Marshall added that installing measures such as draught proofing, loft and cavity wall insulation could knock up to £275 off the average annual household bill.
Those planning to renovate their homes may decide to give a high priority to insulation as a way of helping lower emissions as well as costs.
Fitting the recommended 270 mm of loft insulation could help the average home save one ton of carbon emissions per year, the Energy Savings Trust has claimed.
