'Perfect self build plot' up for grabs

A plot of land in Buckinghamshire has been described as a perfect self build opportunity, it has been reported.
The pocket of land in Bryne Lane, Padbury has planning permission for a 1,183 square feet property that can be designed by an architect, according to Easier.com.
According to Ivor Lafford of Savills, which is handling the sale, the plot represents the perfect opportunity for a city slicker to create a country retreat.
"It is unusual to find a plot of land in a conservation area, right at the heart of such an attractive village, which will get consent for a new house," he said.
It is understood the agent is inviting unconditional offers on the plot - with a guide price of £115,000 - for purchase by private treaty by September 26th.
According to mortgageintroducer.com, 20,000 self builds are commissioned every year, accounting for around 12 per cent of all housing completions.
