Portsmouth "pinpointed as having the greatest potential for further growth"

The city of Portsmouth has been identified as having the most potential for growth among the South Coast Metropole, according to Berkeley Homes.
Developers that are considering the self build option and are looking for a prospective plot could be interested to know that the city's gross value added has climbed by over 73 per cent in the last ten years, the developer claimed.
Berkeley Homes said Portsmouth was named as the tenth fastest-growing large city in the UK in a report by accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young.
Robin Rixon, sales and marketing director for Berkeley Homes at its Gunwharf Quays developments, said that of all the south coast cities Portsmouth has been "pinpointed as having the greatest potential for further growth".
Mr Rixon added that the city is now one of the leading locations on the south coast in terms of "high-quality new homes, leisure attractions and long term investment potential."
The report by UHY Hacker Young rated Belfast as the city with the fastest economic growth over the past ten years.
