Property prices will level out in 6 months, expert says

UK house prices will fall for the next six months and then "bottom out", according to FirstRungNow.com.

Helen Adams, managing director of the website, claimed that we are in a bit of a crisis point in the UK at the moment and that will continue for the next few months.

"There are measures being taken to reduce the effect of it but we do not know yet how much effect those will have so I think people will generally be quite conservative over the next six months," she said.

The expert offered a ray of hope in the future for anyone planning to sell their plot and forecast that the property market may even pick up a bit when the daffodils emerge in the spring.

This week, Hometrack reported that house prices fell 1.3 per cent month on month in October and are down 7.3 per cent compared to the same period last year.
