Seaside towns 'getting very popular'

Britain's seaside towns are ripe for redevelopment at the moment because a buoyant property market is leading affluence into these areas, according to one expert.
Particular holiday locations such as Cornwall and the Isle of Wight have become a mecca for holiday home seekers who are prepared to spend a substantial amount of money on properties with beautiful coastal views, many containing vistas of stacks and beaches.
"Particularly in well-located spots with a good communication, whichis the pre-requisite of any good development, we've seen a major investment in appropriate sites and as long as such markets bear up, then that trend will continue," said Nicholas Leeming, the co-founder of propertyfinder.com.
Brighton and Hove are commanding a premium, he added, due to their Regency style of architecture and the general ambience of the area.
Other popular locations are Rock and Padstow in Cornwall, Bembridge, the South coast and places with sea views and good, family-sized properties.
