Self-build your own car

So you''ve built your own house and completed all possible DIY projects, but now what do you do? The answer could well be self-build your own new car.
Kia, a motor manufacturer, has just launched a new car called the Concept i which allows consumers to choose every detail of the motor and build it themselves in their own garage.
Kia will deliver the modules to the customer''s home in flat pack form so you could be putting your own body and glass panels together and driving off within a day.
Paul Philpott, the managing director of Kia Motors, said: "This is particularly good for the environment any parts left over after building the Concept i can be returned to the local dealer which will make sure they are plumbed back into the supply chain.
"The target price is under £4,000 which we think offers excellent value."
Assembling flat-pack furniture is one of the favourite past times of Brits so it is hoped this new vehicle will be popular. Kia says you don''t even need a comprehensive tool kit because a simple Allen key is included in the pack.
