Self Build and Design Show to be held in Exeter

An exhibition on self build housing will be held at Westpoint Exhibiition Centre next month.

The event will take place on September 13th and 14th and is for anyone contemplating a self build, renovation or conversion, according to the Westpoint Arena.

It has been reported that around 100 building suppliers and design experts will be at the event where experienced self builders will answer questions from prospective developers.

Anybody considering a self build project can also learn about innovative and practical products as well as attend demonstrations and workshops.

Visitors will be able to listen to seminars on topics such as: introduction to self build; planning advice; how to find a building plot; self build Q&A; budgeting issues and renewable energy advice.

According to the Times, the government is encouraging people to self build their own properties in an attempt to meet its self-imposed target of three million new homes by 2020.
