Self build home developed in famous ecovillage

Greig and Kathleen Munro have designed an ecohome with sheep's wool insulation and solar-heat collector panels, it has been reported.
The pair built the home for their parents in the Findhorn Community - a holistic centre in the north of Scotland which is one of the UK's most progressive ecovillages, according to the Times.
At the community are 55 eco-friendly buildings that are reportedly serviced by four wind turbines.
Mr Munro said the foundation has very specific rules on the type of development they allow, posing some problems for the self builder.
"When a plot is bought, owners must agree to a series of environmental standards and plot dimensions," he added.
Mr Munro commented that they designed the house to connect with the surrounding buildings.
Last year, Global Action Plan said that neighbours and small groups of homeowners should work together on ways to reduce energy waste and improve the eco-friendliness their homes.
