Self build mortgages 'provide healthy return'

It has been claimed that, even in today's tough economic climate, self build mortgages are coming up with the goods for borrowers.
Jenny Austin, an expert in self build mortgages, says that such mortgages continue to enable the self build enthusiast to pocket a "healthy return on their time and money when their particular project is finally completed".
Despite the current trend of falling house prices, Ms Austin also suggests that a "properly managed" self build project can generate sufficient profits in the "end value of the property against the costs taken to get it there".
One important thing to remember is that, prior to the initial purchase of the land, no lender will release funds unless full planning permission has been granted.
She wrote in articlesbase.com that, of the 20,000 people who embark on a self build every year, self build mortgages can prove to be a "superb investment" of both time and money.
