Stoke-on-Trent getting popular

Stoke-on-Trent is proving to be a most popular destination for family living, according to property experts in the area.
Andrew Johnson works at Hulme Associates, an estate agents in the area, and he says that regeneration grants and new leisure activities and parks are attracting people from outside the area.
"The city is receiving millions in regeneration grants," said Mr Johnson.
"A lot of new apartments and houses are well under way. It is not so much a tourist attraction but there are plans for Burslem as it is to be a heritage centre for the declined pottery industry."
In terms of distinctive focal points in Stoke-on-Trent, there is the King's Hall plus major shopping centres in Hanley and the Potteries.
There is a dry ski slope in Hanley plus the music venue Victoria Hall and the Regent Theatre, plus numerous green areas.
Stoke-on-Trent is made up of five towns that merged which are Longton, Fenton, Burslem, Tunstall and Stoke.
