Survey shows desire for allotments

Many homeowners are keen to own an allotment, a new poll has revealed.

Conducted by FindaProperty.com, the survey showed that 61 per cent feel an allotment could add value to a property.

And 64 per cent were in agreement that housebuilders should consider adding an allotment to their new build homes to increase the value of the property.

Those people carrying out a plot search for a self build home can seek a piece of land that has enough room to add an allotment to the garden, if they wish to regard the sentiments expressed in this poll.

Content editor of FindaProperty.com Michael O'Flynn stated: "Economic and ecological concerns also factor significantly in the current climate."

The desire for an allotment could increase in the future as the latest consumer price index revealed inflation on food reached 10.6 per cent in June.
