Swansea ''on the make''

Swansea is a city on the make and is seeing huge interest in its land and property at the moment, according to experts.
Terry Carr, from John Francis Estate Agency in Swansea, says that land and property prices vary from east to west of the city but areas around the waterfront in particular are getting very popular.
The average price of properties in the city testifies to the attractiveness of the place with the same house valued at £55,000 in 2000 being worth £127,000 today.
Mr Carr said: "There''s been a lot of European money invested in the waterfront there, which has resulted in a lot of new apartments being sold.
"There''s a new town centre planned and the docklands development known as SA1. So there''s a lot of activity in Swansea."
Swansea of course is located close to the picturesque village of Mumbles and the stunning beaches of Gower so it is an extremely attractive place for family living.
