'Think interior, not exterior' to boost property price

Homeowners planning building or renovation work to add value to their property have been advised to look primarily at indoor spaces.
Peter Bolton King, chief executive of the National Association of Estate Agents, said that most buyers are likely to be concerned with the internal aspect of the house, rather than the exterior.
His comments come after a survey by Liverpool Victoria revealed more than £4 billion will be spent by UK homeowners on home improvements in the next 18 months.
"I would agree that bathrooms, kitchens, that sort of thing, tend to weigh more on people's minds than perhaps the external stuff," said Mr Bolton King.
He added that this is not a general rule, as improvements should be judged on a case by case basis - for example, if a home has little space inside, then an extension could be a credible option.
