UK house supply ''worsening''

The available supply of UK housing is getting worse to the extent where people will struggle to find a home, according to one property expert.
Instant Access Property, which sources property for landlords, has found that with the continuing rise of UK house prices particularly strong in London and the south-east, many investors are looking towards regions of regeneration.
Pierre Williams, head of communications at Instant Access Property, said that investors need to do their homework but that there is still a lot of potential growth in the property market.
He said: "Housing and supply are worsening in this country, so we''re going to continue to get a situation where there are more people looking for and needing a home than there are homes available for them."
Today''s interest rate rise announced by the Bank of England may also affect first-time buyers who already struggle with rising house prices.
