University 'to offer regeneration qualification'

Coventry University is to offer postgraduate qualifications relating to regeneration in an effort to aid future development projects, it has been reported.
Among the offerings is the UK's first regeneration MBA, 24dash.com has reported, which will be taught from September 2007 onwards.
"Regeneration of towns and cities is a vast and complex area, and can be more demanding than running any kind of commercial enterprise, requiring a special combination of skills and knowledge," Coventry University programme manager Rachel Granger commented, according to the public sector news website.
"With a long history of working in the field of regeneration, and a national and international reputation for teaching and research, Coventry is well-placed to help practitioners move onto the next level in their development, and play a part in the progress of the UKs regeneration agenda," Ms Granger added.
Last week saw John Prescott, the man responsible for overseeing regeneration initiatives during Tony Blair's time as prime minister, stand down from the Cabinet after ten years.
