'Unleash your creative side' with a self build

Self building is a great way for people to reveal their creative side, it has been suggested.
The Daily Mail has pointed out that the cost of self build is 30 per cent less than buying and has suggested that those looking for a home can find many good ways to do this.
Such initiatives even include using what appear to be unpromising plots in inner London, the paper noted.
Self build specialist Jake Edgley told the paper: "The best self-build opportunities are the difficult sites that most people wouldn't touch with a barge pole; where you can use your imagination to create a highly individual home out of virtually nothing, and make the project financially worthwhile."
He described how he managed to create new homes in narrow and apparently ill-situated plots in Islington and Kings Cross.
The house sold to a Belgian buyer keen to be near the Eurostar terminal for £1.5 million.
Earlier this year, Green Moves UK suggested falling land prices made it a good time to use the self build method to acquire a home.
