Update green guide launched

In news which may interest those looking to self build or renovate a home to make it as eco friendly as possible, a second edition of a guide to such environmentally friendly construction has been launched.

Volume 2 of the Green Building Bible has been published with the latest information on green building techniques and materials, the Green Building press reports.

The second edition also contains more of an emphasis than its predecessor on the ways of keeping down carbon emissions.

Its subject areas include insulation, renewable energy, building regulations and water conservation.

For those interested in finding out more about how green a home can be before they set about building or renovating one, more details have been released about the opening to public view of an eco home in Brighton next weekend.

The opening of the Eco Open Initiative, which will see the best eco homes put on public display to show off their feature and provide ideas, will be carried out by the Mayor of Brighton and Hove Garry Peltzer Dunn on June 28th, the Low Carbon Trust has announced.
