Wiltshire town to receive £35 million redevelopment

Revised plans for the Wiltshire town of Trowbridge are set to be unveiled.
Following the decision to reject a proposal submitted to West Wiltshire District Council, Parkridge Developments has resubmitted plans for the £35 million development.
The new project will incorporate some 7,000 square metres of retail space, with the scheme also including office space, residential units and parking spaces.
Nick Scott, director of Parkridge Developments, said he hoped that the 16-month long negotiations with the district would be given consent by June, so that the scheme could get underway.
Mr Scott also said that the "widespread community" would be able to offer their views on the development.
"We look forward to sharing our ideas and gaining feedback and input from the local people to ensure that we create a high quality development that will contribute to the ongoing regeneration and enhancement of the town," he added.
