Interest in Sheffield Custom Build Exceeds Expectations
With almost 150 already pre-registered, spaces are running out for local Sheffield residents to attend next weekend’s Custom Build Information Day at Sheffield Town Hall.
Taking place at the Town Hall Reception Rooms from 12-4pm on Saturday 22 November, this is a ‘must-do’ event for anyone who thought that building their own home was beyond their reach. With the chance to create an affordable dream home and save up to 15% (compared with purchasing a new developed home), it’s a unique opportunity for residents to learn about custom build and the benefits it provides.
The main presentation starts at 1pm, with supporting short seminars and case studies throughout the afternoon. For those looking for ideas, inspiration or advice, over 14 specialist custom build providers will be available in the dedicated exhibition zone.
Hosted by BuildStore, this Custom Build Information Day is in response to Sheffield City Council recently being awarded ‘vanguard’ status as part of the Government’s ‘Right to Build’ housing policy. Supported by the University of Sheffield, The Sheffield Housing Company and the Sheffield Co-Housing Network, Sheffield City Council will use this event to gauge local interest in custom build and ensure that appropriate land requirements are met.
